Progress towards setting up the buildings on site. A building engineer attended the site today, and did soil testing.
First, he was testing for where we are going to put the piles in for the relocated building - to make sure that the ground was suitably compacted. Then, drainage tests to see how and where the septic tank bed is going to be.
This is a bit of a mission, because the septic facility needs to cope with quite a few people staying, and the site is surrounded by watercourses! We met with the plumber then, and agreed on a two-stage system - which is basically like having your own sewage treatment works. The dripper pipes effectively irrigate the land with clean water. Expensive, but best for the environment.
